EcoVadis is a trusted professional business sustainability rating agency that provides detailed assessments covering environmental, social and ethical aspects, covering more than 200 procurement categories and operating in more than 160 countries around the world. Milliken’s rating ranks in the top 7% of the more than 90,000 companies worldwide that participated in the EcoVadis assessment.

“The EcoVadis rating system is the benchmark against which we work and guides our continuous improvement to help us build a healthy future,” Cook said.

The EcoVadis rating system covers four themes, including environment, labor and human rights, business ethics and sustainable procurement. Each theme is evaluated from three dimensions of sustainable development policy, action and results. The evaluation method is based on the Global Reporting Initiative. (GRI), United Nations Global Compact and Corporate Social Responsibility Guidelines Standard ISO
26000 and other international sustainable development standards. EcoVadis assesses Milliken’s sustainability performance at a corporate level across all of the company’s business areas, including textiles, specialty chemicals, flooring and healthcare. EcoVadis ratings and Gold ratings reflect Milliken’s overall performance.
